What personal data we collect

Our Privacy Policy is that our firm and website do not collect personal information except for the information which you may provide us by any form of communication.  This may include, but is not limited to, website form, e-mail, phone calls, postal mail, or fax.  This information is for use by the Fritz Law Offices. It is not sold or disclosed to others except as set forth herein or as necessary in the normal course of representation if you become a client.  Anonymous information may be collected as set forth below.

We seek to use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect against the loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure of personal information. It is impossible, however, for us or others to guarantee the safety and security of personal information. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please immediately notify us.

Contact Forms

If you fill out one of our “Contact Us” forms, the information provided will be seen by our office and will be saved.  Once you become a client, we will share your billing information with our cloud-based billing company (Currently “MyCase”) for the purpose of sending you invoices.

Cookies

When you visit our Website, certain information about your visit may be automatically logged by us or our third-party service providers through “cookies” and “web beacons.” This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.  A “cookie” is a text file that websites send to a visitor’s computer or other Internet-connected devices to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in the browser.  A “web beacon” also known as an Internet tag, pixel tag, or clear GIF, links web pages or applications to web servers and may be used to transmit information back to a web server.

We and our service providers use the information for security purposes, to facilitate navigation, to display information more effectively, and to personalize your experience. We also gather statistical information about the use of our Website in order to continually improve their design and functionality, understand how they are used, and assist us with resolving questions regarding them.

Neither we nor any third parties operating on our Website(s) collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites. Our Website(s) is not designed to respond to “do not track” signals from browsers.

We may also anonymize personal information you submit through the Website(s) by cleansing it of any information which might allow you to be identified or contacted, and combine this non-personally identifiable information with that of other visitors to the site. We use this information for internal business purposes, such as analysis and planning for marketing and/or customer service.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Analytics

We may use third-party web analytics services on our Website(s) such as Google Analytics, to provide us with information about how visitors to our Website(s) interact with those sites. This information is collected anonymously, reports website trends without identifying individual visitors, and may include your IP address (from which we may derive your approximate location), which is the number assigned to your computer whenever it is connected to the internet, your operation system, screen settings, Web browser software, referring website, and certain demographic information about you. Generally, we use this information for system improvement and administration, security, statistical analysis purposes, and other internal business purposes.

What rights you have over your data

If you have provided personal information on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

 

THE RIGHTS OF CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

Pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) residents of California have rights with regard to their personal information, including, but not limited to:

1. The right to access the personal information that we have collected about you for business purposes within the preceding 12 months;
2. The right to know whether your personal information is sold or disclosed and to whom;
3. The right to say no to the sale of your personal information;
4. The right to request that we delete the personal information that we have collected about you (identifiers, such as name, address, IP address, and financial information);
5. The right to equal service and price, even if you exercise your privacy rights.

Exercising Your Rights

To the extent required by applicable law, California residents may ask us to provide them with (i) a list of certain categories of personal information that we have disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, and (ii) the identity of those third parties.

We will need to verify your identity prior to effectuating your request. To verify your identity, you will need to provide us with the following information with your request: Name & email address.

Please note that we may be unable to process your request if you do not provide us with the above information. You may also designate an authorized agent to exercise your rights on your behalf.  Please note that we may not be able to process your request if your designated agent and/or you do not provide us with a power of attorney,

We will attempt to respond to most consumer requests within a reasonable time consistent with the applicable law. Any disclosures that we make in response to your request will cover the 12 months prior to your request. We have the ability to deny your request(s) if certain exceptions in the law apply. If we do deny your request, we will provide you with the reasons for such denial. Normally, we do not charge a fee to process or respond to consumer requests. However, we may charge a fee if the request is excessive, repetitive or manifestly unfounded.

You have the right to be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising your rights under the CCPA.

Do Not Track

Do Not Track is a preference you can set on your browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked. We do not support Do Not Track (“DNT”). You can either enable or disable Do Not Track by visiting the Preferences or Settings page of your browser.

CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time.
