Biography
William Fritz grew up in the Midwest and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Chicago, where he graduated with honors, with a thesis on Ancient Roman legal history. After a year of graduate business studies at Arizona State University, Mr. Fritz earned his law degree from UCLA School of Law and was admitted to practice law in California. He moved to Santa Rosa CA in 1987 and began practicing business litigation. In 1993, he and his partner formed their own firm – “Fritz Law Offices.”
The emphasis of Mr. Fritz’s law practice is Business Law, both Transactional and Litigation, Civil Appeals, Business Successor Planning, Unfair Competition, Construction Law, Real Estate, General Civil Litigation and Bankruptcy. His numerous mediations, bench and jury trials, appellate work, and varied forms of arbitrations provide clients with the full range of options in pursuing their claims wherever they arise in California. Mr. Fritz has also served as a Small Claims Court Judge in Sonoma County. In addition, he continues to serve as a discovery facilitator for the local Superior Court and as an Arbitrator, Mediator, and Fee Arbitrator for the Sonoma County Bar Association.
His civic involvement includes having served on the Board of Directors for the North Bay Regional Center, officer positions in various Lawyer Associations and lecturing in classes ranging from college down to elementary school. In addition, he is serving on his Church Vestry and various Homeowners’ Association Boards.
Mr. Fritz’s professional memberships include the California Bar Association and the Sonoma County Bar Association.
